Established in Gretna in January 2005, Leaaf Environmental, LLC (Leaaf) is a Louisiana licensed environmental engineering and consulting firm headquartered in Gretna, Louisiana with additional employees based throughout Southeastern Louisiana, including New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Mandeville, and Slidell. As Co-Owner, Jim Blazek, Jr. grew up in Gretna and represents Leaaf with the Gretna Economic Development Association (GEDA).
Leaaf is a federal and state recognized small business with project objectives concentrating on minimizing environmental risk. Leaaf is a state certified Small Entrepreneurship with the Louisiana Economic Development’s (LED) Hudson Initiative and a federal small business certified by the United States Small Business Association (SBA). Leaaf prides itself on its team of highly experienced and responsive senior environmental professionals, project managers, engineers, geologists, environmental risk assessors, certified industrial hygienists (CIH), certified safety professionals (CSP), scientists, and technicians dedicated to finding cost-effective ways to minimize environmental risk for its clients.
Leaaf has 25 employees that manage a variety of projects throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast where Leaaf is a recognized leader in environmental consulting and remediation services. Leaaf’s clients include government (federal, state, municipal and local) and private sector clients including architects and engineers, contractors, private landowners, developers, schools, gas stations, banks, light industrial, healthcare facilities, and non-profits.
